The Ugly Stik GX2 is the next generation of Ugly Stik spinning rod range and comes with a full makeover with modern and eye-catching cosmetic upgrades. Not only does the GX2 look the part but Shakespeare have even improved the rod blank itself. Making it lighter and more sensitive than ever, the lighter rod blank will reduce casting fatigue while the improved sensitivity will allow you to feel the subtlest of bites.
The rods hardware has also been vastly improved, with the introduction of the Ugly Tuff guides and Ugly Stik clear tip. The Tuff guides are made of a one-piece, stamped stainless steel construction that provides maximum durability and no ceramic inserts that could accidentally pop put. The Ugly Stik Clear Tip technology is taken from the original Ugly Stik range but the advancement in blank technology improves the overall sensitivity of the rod tip ensuring you feel every bump or hit on the rod tip.
The rod comes with a sleek and refined reel seat which improves the overall comfort of the rod in hand and the full EVA foam handle provides a comfortable and low maintenance handle that finishes off the overall new look of the Ugly Stik GX2 range.
